watch not working

good day.
i received my package from amazon,i must say the service was great.
only one problem the watch does not work,read the instructions and it said that the watch has to be wound up manually,well i tried that but it already felt quit tight already,the watch movement did go for a short time then it stopped,very dissapointed in this product.which i paid $1000 for.now have to send to alocal watchmaker to have a look at it,
