Well worth the price!!

I've been buying Invicta watches for 10 years. They have always made a great watch for the money. I have always wanted to own something in the Subaqua collection. But, their price point was always around $1000. So when they started coming out with the quartz versions, I found this the perfect time to own one. The fit and finish is fantastic. I could not find one single flaw with this watch. What I like about this particular version is the black bezel. The rubber strap is perfect. The watch itself has some weight to it. So having the rubber strap makes it very comfortable to wear. It is a limited edition watch as advertised. The case back does state what number you have out of 1000. Plus the warranty papers come with a certificate of the number and the inspection. The watch is large. Like many of the other Invicta watches I own. It does wear very comfortably.

If you register the watch at Invicta's web site, they extend the warranty to 5 years.

First let me start by saying that there are different versions of this model of Subaqua. The only difference is the color of the dial and the number of each produced. I believe that the red and blue face models are limited to 500 units, the black face model is limited to 1500. I own the platinum (silver) face, only 300 of these were produced. I have #062/300.
The buld quality on this watch is exceptional, (puts my Submariner to shame!). The watch is entirely Swiss made, hand assembled, hand finished. Omly 12-15% of the master watch technitions are alowowed to work on these if they need adjustment, service, battery change, etc.
Yes this watch is thick, it has to be to withstand 500 meters(1650ft)of pressure. After all, this watch IS designed to be used as a dive watch, although i don't know of anyone that would use it as such. The case of the watch is not as large as people make it out to be. It's standard for this type of watch. Remember, this is designed as a dive watch and you wouldn't want to have to squint at an itty-bitty watch while diving! For reference, it's about the size of a half-dollar(50mm). The strap is made of a poly material that is vey flexible. The inset links on the strap are treated stainless and are screwed in. For reference, the strap is 10". On the back of the watch is a real treat. Wait until you see how intricate the caseback is. it seems ashame that Invicta would have something that elaborate that noone would ever see except the owner. Makes you want to wear it upside down. Thats what Invicta does. The movement on this watch is the Ronda 515 24H. For the person that asked what "GMT" meant, it means "greenwich mean time", it is where all time zones start.. This watch has a GMT feature, You can set it to track Military time, or set it to track time in any time zone you want. Understand, you cannot take this watch to your local jewler for service of battery change. You MUST send it back to Invicta, once the watch is depressureized for service, it must be re-pressureized. No local jeweler can do that. The machine that tests pressure costs' in excess of $100,000.00.

Big honkin' watch!

This is a big, heavy watch! How big and heavy, you may ask? It is so big and heavy, I do not like to wear it when I drive because my gas mileage goes down. I am considering getting this watch it's own Mini-Cooper to save money. It is so big, I had to buy it a separate airline ticket last week. I heartily recommend this watch to police officers and firefighters for use as a battering ram and to carpenters who may require a spare framing hammer. It is a large watch, and would look ridiculous on an ugly man with a smaller frame. Fourtunately, I am a large framed man AND stunningly handsome, so I can pull it off. All joking aside, I bought this watch because I tend to abuse them and this Invicta looked VERY substantial and the price could not be beat. I tend to buy diver's watches because I figure anything built to withstand 500 meters of water pressure can probably hold up to anything I can throw at it. Also, it has a GMT function, which I will probably find very useful once I figure out what "GMT" means.
It's a great watch, wonderfully styled, Swiss made, and the band is great.
